Merry (almost) Christmas!
There is much going on behind the scenes as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ! You are most welcome to join us for our many Christmas services.
Please note that all precaution is being taken to protect the health of our church community. Each member of the adult choir, altar party, ushers have been vaccinated and have received a third booster injection. Air purifiers will be in place, windows open, fans turned on, hand sanitizer provided, masks will be required at all times, and we ask that social distance be maintained.
The late service on Christmas Eve will be live streamed here for those who have not been vaccinated or whose heath precludes coming to church.
We ask that those able to park on the street to do so to allow spaces for families with very small children, senior citizens, and those with physical challenges, a space to park in the church parking lot.
There is excitement in the air! Costumes are being made ready for the Annual Children’s Pageant at our 5:00 pm service on Christmas Eve.
Our choristers are rehearsing, scripts are being read, the Lectors, Ushers and Altar Guild are prepared. Coffee will be brewing… this will be a busy night!
Our solemn late service with choir, strings and organ will begin with a prelude at 9:45 pm. We will joyfully celebrate the birth of Christ with prayer, beautiful music, uplifted voices and grateful souls. A light amount of incense will be used at this service.
Our Christmas morning service will be held at 10:15 am. This will be a much quieter service than the services of Christmas Eve. A soloist will lead us in singing God’s praises. Our organist will offer his musical gifts and God will be honored as we celebrate the Birth of Christ.
There will only be ONE SERVICE on this day at 10:15 am as we continue our celebration of Christmas with traditional hymns and organ.
We will celebrate the Feast of the Holy Innocents at our weekly 6:00 pm service with prayers for the New Year and prayers for healing. This service takes place in the chancel of the church. All are welcome!
As you continue to prepare for Christmas, may your last days of Advent 2021 be blessed!
