Weekly Advent Reflection: Advent 4

Every week of Advent we will offer a weekly quote for private reflection, as well as daily scripture readings. These will be discussed at our nightly Compline on Zoom. See the reflection for Advent 4 below:

Share Your Advent and Christmas Reflections

In addition to the weekly reflections above, all St. James' parishioners are invited to participate in an online writing program running through Advent. We will offer two writing prompts each week—to be posted on St. James' Facebook page and website—to inspire your thoughts on the meaning of Advent and Christmas, particularly in this unprecedented year.

Submit your writing at 40days40writes.com/advent—a web platform developed by parishioner Robin Rauzi—and, if you like, share your reflections on a related blog. Given the limitations of social distancing, we hope that this is one way that we can share life together during this Advent and Christmas season. This week's prompts are below:

Prompt 6: What is helping you to “hold fast to what is good” right now?
Prompt 7: What about Mary’s song (Luke 1: 46-55, also called the “Magnificat”) or her story strikes you?

If you have any questions or problems, feel free to email Robin Rauzi, or Rev. Michelle.
